Lucky Tours and Safaris

Lucky Tours and Safaris is a bush-camping mobile safari program that will take you to all the places of interest in Botswana with possible excursions to Victoria Falls in Zambia.* You select a package or design a custom tour to see the sights, fauna and flora of Southern Africa. These are some of the places you may include in your tour:

All tours include driving during the day in prime habitats to see the special wildlife of each area. We also do night drives (if you like) to see nocturnal wildlife.

One of our specialties is birding tours: specially designed for birdwatching with one of Botswana's top birders as your guide.

At your option, we do cultural tours: camping at Community Trust areas where the campsite belongs to the (local) community and a portion of the trip expenses support community initiatives.

These are described on the Prices page; briefly:

Participation Safaris is where we provide our guests with food, tents, sleeping equipments & a chef and they are expected to participate in camp chores, such as setting up the tents and so on.

For accommodation we use two man bow-tents (canvas) 2.4 m x 2.4 m, for sleeping gear its bedrolls with mattress, duvet and pillows. A dinning table, a small table, a trailer for luggage, a kitchen light, spot light for night drives and a 4.2 Toyota Land Cruiser modified for Safari with a guide and a chef.

In Self-Catering Safaris, our guests bring their own tents, food & sleeping equipment and set up camp and cook for themselves. We provide a 4x4 vehicle and guide, but no chef.

Luxury Safaris is where by our guest stay in the lodges and we do game drives. We provide the 4x4 vehicle and guide and make all arrangements with lodges.

Specialty Safaris offers you the opportunity to design your own safari according to your special interests, such as birding, natural history, photography or whatever. Our guides can name most of the plants in the Okavango Delta and Kalahari Desert and can explain their uses by the native peoples of the region, as well as by the wildlife.
